CTMS 2 Well Under Way With Great Features
Quick update on CTMS
At this time we are working hard on version 2, which is a head-turner.
As well as the features in version 1, we are adding more to version 2 and removing features that we feel are really unnecessary. We are also working on a complete redesign of the UI.
Right now, we have a few companies that are using CTMS and getting great value from it. They have made some suggestions such as better settings layout (the current one is a bit awkward to follow). So we have changed it completely and taken advantage of Bootstrap’s awesome Modal features, which will allow you to make changes to your settings without having to go to a separate page. They have also asked for Google Calendar integration, which we are also working on.
Along with PayPal and Bank Transfer, we are also integrating Strype Payments, which will allow for multiple payment methods, such as Visa, Mastercard and even Google Payments.

Data Importing Now Available
The new version of CTMS includes a real time saver of a feature.
You can now import data such as fleet, staff members, customers etc via a CSV spreadsheet. This will save you hours of time, which can be used where it is needed.

Update
Just thought I would give you an update on how things are going with CTMS.
Features are being added all the time. I want to make sure that when it is officially released to production level, that I am releasing a robust and secure, feature-rich product.
A feature that has been requested, “Enable and Disable Services”. For example, the system has two main purposes. Tours and Charters. If you only do charters, you can disable the tours feature etc.
At this time I am working on an Import/Export feature so you will find it easier and faster to enter your fleet details into the system. This will be a spreadsheet system and file types allowed will be CSV.

We are Close to Release

We are very close to our initial official release and here is what to expect that hasn’t been listed yet…
Version 1.0.0 RC2
- The security has been updated now so all login information and sensitive data is hashed, scrambled and secured against any naked eye visuals using MD5 and CSRF Security standards.
- Email notifications have also been added for registration and password change.
- Driver and Fleet Data has now been completed
So, how what if I want to host it myself?
If you have a server and wish to host your website there using this system, you can do that just fine. However, there are a few things that you need to look at to make sure your hosting environment meets the requirements of CTMS. Here are the main and most usual requirements:
- Apache Server
- PHP 7 or Higher
- MySQL 5 or Higher
- PDO Extension
- GD Library Enabled
- mod_rewrite Enabled
- CURL Module Active
- allow_url_fopen Enabled
- file_get_contents Enabled
- Php Exec Enabled
These are the minimum requirements and without the above, CTMS may not function correctly, if at all.
As well as the above, in order to host CTMS on your own environment, you will need to install it and be able to provide the installer with the information it requires, such as Database login details. Otherwise it will not work. Also, because it is not being hosted on our system, we will provide ongoing support but can not help in installation or server configuration. That will be the responsibility of your hosting provider or server administrator.
Or, you can host it on our ready-to-go Sydney-based secured cloud servers where we will set it up for you and manage your website for you or you can have complete access to do it all yourself.

Features Being Added
There are many features already implemented into ProTour. I won’t list them all now but will list them in a detailed post later on, which will outline the purpose, use and pathway of the project and how it was built and why. But, what I will say for now is that I am working on some significant features that Beta testers have already been asking for and these include, but not limited to:
- Drag and Drop drivers and vehicles into Tours
- Automatically generate invoices upon checkout, before payment and then a receipt after payment is made by a passenger
- Login options for Facebook, Google and others. Not a big fan of this myself but if that’s what is being asked for….
- Vehicle Tracking – I love this idea and will be adding it over time. May not be in the first or even second or subsequent release but I will get it done at some stage.
- Vehicle Management – This is pretty much completed as I write this but still more stuff to do there.
There will be lots more to do even before a release and I will keep everyone updated.
